As cloud communications penetrate mainstream buyers, customer requirements become more diverse, which creates challenges and opportunities for unified communications-as-a-service (UCaaS) platform providers. Evolving portfolio and solution capabilities, go-to-market strategies, and value propositions compel market participants to constantly adjust their offerings and strategies to maintain a competitive edge.

Advanced market maturity in key regions is slowing installed base and revenue growth due to more cautious buyers and fewer net new seats relative to the total base. However, strong recognition of UCaaS benefits—including improved operational agility, business continuity, rapid access to new and enhanced capabilities, and increased remote/hybrid workforce productivity—is driving growth for providers offering solutions that most effectively address key customer challenges.

This Frost Radar™ evaluates technology developers leveraging proprietary cloud communications and collaboration platforms (internally developed or acquired) to offer hosted IP telephony, cloud PBX, and/or UCaaS services or software, either directly to businesses or through various channel partners, including wireline and mobile telecommunications providers, managed services providers, internet services providers, value-added resellers, systems integrators, or other types of resellers.

The size of a provider’s global UCaaS installed base is the main metric that Frost & Sullivan considered when determining the top 19 market participants to evaluate. Certain providers with comparatively large installed bases were excluded because of limited available information about their growth and innovation strategies.

Frost & Sullivan analyzes numerous companies in an industry. Those selected for further analysis based on their leadership or other distinctions are benchmarked across 10 Growth and Innovation criteria to reveal their position on the Frost Radar™. The publication presents competitive profiles of each company on the Frost Radar™ considering their strengths and the opportunities that best fit those strengths.
